MY STORY

My name is Sage Cinnamon, I am the Owner and Founder of Cinnamon Aesthetic & Sage Cinnamon MUA. I have been a licensed Esthetician for seven years and have been doing makeup for over 10 years professionally. 

Makeup is where my passion lies but I enjoy all aspects of being an Esthetician.

I have always been into art, and used many mediums to express my artistic side. In high school, I chose all art electives and my favorite were drawing and photography. After I graduated high school I received a scholarship to attend collage at The San Francisco Art Institute, where I studied Photography, Painting and Art History. 

There, I threw myself into art and was in love with styled shoots, fashion, and street photography. I would take the role of creative direction while styling, hair and makeup for models, and shoot for my photography classes and my personal work. 

After Art School I decided to move from San Francisco to Maui to further my education and pursue my interest in makeup and skin care. I enrolled in Spa Luna, a Holistic Trade School for Esthetics and Massage Therapy. After I graduated I worked at a green spa for a few years called Grace Beauty, where I mostly provided facial, waxing, lash tinting and eyebrow tinting services. I continued to do makeup and work at makeup counters during my life as a student to help find my education. I realized makeup was my true passion. 

After working in Maui for a bit, I decided I wanted to expand my opportunities and move to Oahu to really pursue my makeup career. I applied to M.A.C. Cosmetics to be able to gain more skill, acquire clients and build my freelance kit! I was hired at M.A.C. and worked at the pro store for over seven years. At M.A.C. I received a lot of hands-on training and was able to gain all the certifications I could to improve my skill set and speed for makeup applications.

I always freelanced on the side during all my schooling and work endeavors. Between working for a selection of different makeup companies and meeting and servicing many customers/clients, it has really helped me build my skill set as a MUA. 

Art, Makeup and Esthetics are my passion. I love to make every one of my clients feel beautiful and cared for - Whether it’s beating faces or creating beautiful lash sets and styling perfect brows, I always put my all into it and take my time to create the most beautiful possible look for my clients.
